Employing old Japanese joinery and inlay techniques, Ray Van Cleve constructs his sterling silver boxes without heat or solder. Through modification of a japanese metal inlay method, he carves a special groove in which to press the copper. The sides of the boxes are joined with miniature dovetails or folding. The top features a beautiful Turquoise stone and glides upon a dovetailed channel. The base of the box measures 1.875" long by 1.375" wide and 1.25" high.
